I was for 6 months in the himalay region for trekking and enjoying a beautiful part of the world before it is getting destroyed through the commercialisms!!

The landscape was so beautiful and the people very friendly. Some partes were also very remote and you felt like alone on the world.

My stations are described on the next pages .........

On 6. May 2005 I left Switzerland in direction to Lhasa. With a group of nine People I was for 30 days on the way from Lhasa to the mount Kailash and the old kingdom Guge. Our team joined three drivers, one guide (Lakhpa) and a cooking team of six people. On the Kailash we made the cora and visited the holy lake Manasarova.
After Guge we were driven on the friendship highway to Kathmandu. There I stayed for 10 days till I get my visa to India.

After a stopover in Kathmandu I went on 15. June to Ladakh in the Indian Himalaya. There I packed my backpacker and trecked for 33 days through whole Ladakh. I slept by Ladakhi famelies or in my tent and ate most of the time tsampa. In august I lived for three weeks in a famely and helped them on the fields. In front of the capital of Ladkah lies the mount Stok Kangri which I mount with a french and a belgium guy. It was a hard piece of work but the sunrise was amazing. After a public teaching from Dalai Lama and short visit of the Pangong Tso I tracked through the Zanskar valley to Keylong and went from there to Dharamsala. On this spot I lived in a guest house of the Zilnon Kargyeling monastery. trekking20
On 11. Oktober I arrived in Goa. There I visited the famous Anjuna beach, where the Goa culture has its roots. After four days I catched the bus to Palolem. Under coco palms I catched some sun the rest of the days before I had to take a fourty hours train ride back to Delhi. End of Oktober after three busy days in the capitol of India I went back home.
